Arguably the second most-looked-forward-to time of the year.

March Break.

Whether your memories with March Break include a plane ride, or the best sleep-ins of your life, sometimes planning ahead makes sure you get the most out of your break.

Though many condominium communities are close to playgrounds or have their own green space or common area, sometimes it’s just nice to step out of your everyday routine and surroundings and try something new.

And sometimes you just need a space for the kids to go if you weren’t able to get some time away from the office.

So, let’s take a look at what’s happening in the Grand River area this March Break!

Drop-off Camp – Grand River Outdoor Wilderness Education

If you have children between the ages of 5-11 who love learning about the great outdoors, this is for you!

Join for a day of learning and playing outside.

Drop-off Camp – THEMUSEUM’S March Break Camp

Maybe the great outdoors aren’t for you. Maybe learning about different countries and cultures is what excites your 5 to 12-year-old.

Does this sound like something your family would like?

Drop-off Camp – Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery

If you’ve got the kids that love to get their hands messy, try this camp on for size. A full week of art and fun, with a great art show for everyone to enjoy at the end!

For families who would rather do activities together, consider these options:

Local Museums

Whether you’re in Kitchener, Waterloo, or Brantford, each city has a great selection of museums to choose from for you and your family.

Ken Seiling Waterloo Museum

Homer Watson House & Gallery

Canadian Clay & Glass Museum

Woodside National Historic Site

Local Theatres

When was the last time you saw a movie in a theatre? It feels like everything is being streamed, doesn’t it? Take everyone (or just yourself) for a movie date. Doesn’t have to be at night. Maybe it’s a grey day outside and you catch the matinee.

Looking to try something different? Get a group together and rent out a theatre for a private viewing and party.

Learn more about that option here.

Get ahead of your March Break planning. Check community boards in your condominium (if you haven’t already) for up and coming events near you!
