Devon Cassidy, LL.B., LL.M.
Associate Lawyer, Cox & Palmer

Nova Scotia Chapter

I am Devon Cassidy, and I am running for Vice President of the CCI National Executive Board. I am a condominium owner and serve as President of my Condominium Corporation. From this role, I know the importance of keeping fellow owners informed and making hard financial decisions when required. I am an associate lawyer in the Halifax office of Cox & Palmer. My legal practice focuses on condominium law, working for both corporations and for developers. Since returning to live in Nova Scotia in 2013, I have been heavily involved in the Canadian Condominium Institute, both at a National level, and with my local CCI Nova Scotia Chapter. Within CCI Nova Scotia, I am involved as a professional member and serves as chapter President, entering my eighth year in this role. At a CCI National level, I have had the opportunity to serve as National Council Co-chair and as a Director at Large on the National Executive. I have been active at the CCI National committee level, serving on the Resource Content, and National Events Committees.

I believe that my experience at the Provincial and National level has given me an understanding of the strength that exists at a Chapter level, the importance of bringing Chapter Boards "into" National, and a deeper understanding of the strengths and weakness of this organization. I believe these experiences will serve me well in the role of vice president.

I have a deep love and enthusiasm for all things CCI. I believe in the value in the work we do at the Provincial and National levels and see the dividends it pays in the education and support we provide to those living and working in condominium.

I have really enjoyed my time on Executive as a Director at Large. It would be an honor to continue to progress to Vice President. Thank you for your support.
