The
Director's Club
What is it?
A
Director's Club is a group of people that currently serve on the Board of
Directors for a condominium and who get together on a regular basis to solve
problems, share best practices and offer each other peer support.
What are the Benefits?
Handle Personal Issues:
As a condominium director, you are limited in sharing personal issues.
With a Director's Club, your peers are in the same situation and have a
high degree of empathy.
Sounding Board:
A Director's Club acts as an informal board of directors and an
opportunity for sharing real lessons.
Overcome Isolation:
Do you feel like you are the only one doing work?
Every director in your group typically feels the same and can offer
support.
Improve
Odds of Success: Your Director's Club can
help take your focus off the little day-to-day issues and look at the bigger
picture that will have a major impact on the future of your home.
How does it work?
Size:
10 to 12 directors, all from different boards
Location:
Meetings will be held in the common rooms or homes of the participants.
Roles:
Members will take turn acting as Facilitator and Organizer.
Confidentiality:
Each member would agree to a confidentiality agreement and follow the rules of
engagement.
Attendance:
Each member must commit to attending 90% of the meetings.
The Club will not work without participation!
CCI?s
Role:
Each group will function as its own
entity. CCI will provide start-up
coaching, maintain membership, provide advice or guests, if requested and
continue to furnish condominium-related news and information.
